Right now, june is helping jeremy sew on a button. she thinks it's great fun! it's almost as good as when i knit. well, another week down of library work. not much to report on. just tired. and i gave up my sleep day (saturday) to go shopping with jer and see wall-e. it is a cute movie, for those wondering. i got some new jeans....now it's time to hem them up. ah, the story of my life....all pants must be taken up before wear. i wore them to church today, but they were still too long for my heels. that's when you know you're short! july 4 is this friday. don't know if we'll doing something yet or not. jer wants to go kayaking with his boss, but i don't know if that'll happen. we'll see. dad goes to branson on saturday for a week. we are planning to spend sunday together. not sure what we're going to do. there's not much open there or here on sundays.

One Week Down

1 week down, 3 to go for "internship". i'm now called either "the intern" or "new girl". yea, nicknames. this week went well. it went pretty fast. next week the same thing, except i get to go to Rogers with 3 others to listen in on the first website meeting. i'm pretty excited about that. i'm taking that class this semester, so it'll be good.

Matthew, brother-in-law, called us on tuesday. apparently Audrey, 21 months old, is saying "bummer dude" and "peace out". jeremy and i love it. jeremy melted, i think, when he heard.

i talked to eric last night. part of his new job is running towards the fire to find out what's going on. yea! he has a lab jacket and knows where the face masks are. does that sound safe to anyone? did i mention it's a chemical fire? hmmmmm......

dad told me that blake has decided that cailynn is ok. he was very very mad at mom and baby the first day. but now he likes helping, holding cailynn, and patting her. he and audrey are the same age. so, now rebecca, you get a feel for how audrey will react to a new baby when it happens!

Week Two

So, after i posted last, i was asked to work thursday afternoons 12-4. it works out well. i don't have to work evening that day. yesterday and today i went to two of the three libraries i'm working at for school. i have 120 hours to do. i'll be done by july 11. my portfolio, i.e. work goals and how i'm gonna accomplish them are due next thursday. the first part of my website for the other class is due sunday. so, i will be doing homework all week/weekend. so, yeah. busy busy.

this past weekend we went to bobby and lisa's. it was good. and Bobby, it's about time you post! maybe the last time we see them before they move back to oklahoma. we got to see jeremy and leslie's new baby boy Corin Peyton Kemp.  he was born last wednesday. he's doing well. he's a cutie! i wasn't sure if grandma was gonna let me hold him. she is quite keen on him. imagine that. :-)

also, candy bars went up  $.20. i bought one for the first time in a while and i couldn't believe they'd gone up that much. i think it was all at once too. another random thing, is more people visit my old blog now that everything is deleted off of it.  weird. i only keep it so i can look onto friends' blogs there. why would people all the sudden be looking at it? i deleted all old posts and took my picture and info out. it's just weird.

Meanwhile, back at the house...

Let's see what's happened the last two weeks....

We went to Cabot for Memorial Day weekend.
1. Spent time with Dad and family...lots of wii playing.
2. Got new tires on the car....the wrong tires....a whole story itself.
3. Spent time with Mom.
4. Watched 2 movies....Prince Caspian and Indiana Jones.

We enjoyed the long weekend.

Also, I have committed to working at the Passion Play on Monday and Tuesday nights (except during the month I'll be working for the library for school). I'll be selling tickets. I figured those are slow nights, which will be good while training. :-) I start tomorrow.

Last night we went to see Daniel Lawson. We thought we'd be hanging out after him moving all day, but we ended up helping him b/c the new apt wouldn't give him the key until 4 pm. The apartments were the same owners, different managers, so he let them battle out the key situation.

Leslie Kukta Rains and husband leave for S. Korea Tuesday to teach English. Safe travels, friend. You'll be in our prayers. For those curious about them, their webpage is listed on the left side.

We finally broke down and turned on the air conditioner last night.(it's off now though) Not too bad, to wait until June! Speaking of June, she's been more lovey lately. I think the two weekends away did it. :-) She was quite whinny before that. She's not gonna be happy about the air conditioner on b/c that means the windows aren't open. She LOVES the open windows. She spends 90% of her awake time in them if they are open.  Guess that's it for now.

There and back again

This past weekend we went to KC to spend the weekend with Jer's Uncle Dave. It was a good time. Jer loved the recommended Boca di Beppo. It was topped off nicely with a piece of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Lots of wii was played, smattered with a bit of shopping. Jer got to buy his long wanted Bose speakers.  He's quite happy. This coming up long weekend looks to most likely be spent in Cabot.

Thanks to the lovely Rachel Wylie, I have found out that the Moers book I have been wanting is being reprinted in September. Note for those wanting to get me something for my birthday.

We're finishing the last Harry Potter audiobook. Fred just died. sad. Only 4-5 chapters and 3 appendices to go.

2 things

1.  Jer's bad cholesterol was too high to count again. and his triglycerides were over 500. lower than the first time, but still way way too high. good thing dr. put him on his meds again, but a different prescription. he has 3 months to get it all down. question one: what can we do (other than eat beans) to get  his good cholesterol up? all people ever tell me is eat beans...there has to be more than that. question two: how big is his potential for a heart attack with high cholesterol but good blood pressure?

2. Luke Thompson Music. I stayed with his family in NZ in 2001. he's a cool guy. i know some of you know him and will want to buy his new album that came out not too long ago. i bought it on itunes.
