New Breakfast
So, I'm willing to give a surprise to anyone who can help me come up with a new breakfast. It needs to be high in protein and easy to make. It could be made the night before or several days in advance, just so long as it doesn't take much time in the morning. There are two meals I'm excluding b/c I'm doing them now and want something new: eggs and bacon; granola. It could be hot or cold...hot would be a bonus since winter is starting soon though. :-)

Busy Busy
So, I'm sitting here on my bed wondering what the heck I'm going to write about. It's been almost a month, but I don't feel too bad about this considering how long it's been since some other people have posted. hint hint!! Anyhow, we're in the throws of looking for a new place to live. The Kemps have already found a place and moving out Easter weekend. We've narrowed it down to what city we want to live in. That's good right? We're staying in this city, rather than move to the one I work in. Church and most of our friends are here, so we've decided to stay here. Plus, at some point we'd like my job to be here.
I've been getting close with one of girls at church. That's been interesting and fun. I think I've stretched more as a youth leader in the last month than I have in a year's time. I don't remember if I told y'all Jer's the youth guy now. If I didn't, you know now. He's been doing a lot of it anyhow, but now there's more. It keeps us busy, that's for sure! We went roller blading yesterday. I have muscles hurting that I forgot I had. I only fell once, thankfully. I have two huge bruises on my hip/bum area. I didn't know wood floors could hurt so bad!
As far as fun goes, we've been catching up on watching Bones. We really like it.

Legal Again
So, our work visas went through today! I get to continue working w/o pause. I had already figured out what I was going to do during that time, but it's better I get to keep working. I don't lose my vacation days this way.

Let's see...
I'm trying to remember all that's happened lately.
1. I'm crocheting and knitting little toys to act as avatars for each person at work. It's for the employee of the fortnight thing. It'll be cute when I get done. I'm a hippo. I'll post pics when I finish. The previous teaser post is a title of a book we have that made me look inside it. It's just a funny title, "Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful". Is that not funny? The Mr. Funky part is in small letters, so all you notice at first is the Super Crochet Wonderful.
2. The FBI police check returned my stuff saying the prints weren't readible. This means I might not have my work permit to continue working before my other expires on March 10. So, I might have to resign from my job for a while. They are holding it open for me for 6 weeks, but still. Pray that goes through quickly!!!
3. Focus youth/young adult camp is this weekend. We've been preparing for this lately. Most of the work has been done by Nate and Rach thankfully, but it's coming along and hopefully it'll be good. The theme this year is "Faith Hope Love".
4. The Marlars have left. Jer is officially the youth guy now. Anything youth related goes to him now. Luckily we have a youth committee now who can help out when he needs.
5. I'm doing the organizing of people doing stuff at church. I email all the people 2 weeks in advance and say, "Hey! It's your turn." Most of the time this works great. The lesson part is a bit more complicated than that, but I get help there.
That's about it. I just spend my days working, crocheting, eating, church, sleeping. Almost in that order too. Stephanie and Dan (I grew up with Stephanie) came to see us this week. They did a Australia/New Zealand cruise, and it finished here. They spent 3 days with us. It was good to see them.

Funny story
so, jer told me a funny story tonight. we're watching this new tv show, which of course started ages ago there in the states called "Modern Family". the kid is jumping on the trampoline with a box on his head. i turned to jeremy and said, " that looks like something you'd do." he agreed. :-) then he told me this story. when he was little, he used to get on the floor with a box over him with the flaps out flat on the floor. he used to go really fast until he ran into things. he says of course he always knew when he was coming up on something b/c the flaps indicated this. but the funny thing is he did this not because it was funny to him. he though it would look funny to anyone watching, and he thought that'd be funny. he doesn't even know if anyone ever saw him. so, to those of his family who read this, did you ever see him do this?
and rebecca, it was the family pics with myles that i "put in a safe place"...maybe some of audrey with myles? i can't remember what they all were, but i really wanted the family pic one.
