Elliptical

These are pics of my new (used) elliptical machine. Ok, i didn't take the pics. I stole them from trademe, where i bought it. this is the beginning of my new exercise routine. i did 15 mins on it tonight. my knees were only mad at me for the first 8.5 mins. i thought that funny since it's supposed to be low impact on your knees. maybe it is compared to running, but i don't run for several reasons. one of which is our hills. lots and lots of hills. ask brook, i'm not kidding.

I've been considering one of these since they take up less room than a treadmill. Could you mount a tray and use a laptop on it, or are you moving too much?

Also, you could get one of these: http://www.elliptigo.com/
They look fun.

wow, now that is an interesting bike!

and my cheap brand elliptical you are moving to much to attach something to it. maybe if you paid more for one...but then they would get bigger. maybe go try out a few types in the store and see what you think. the ones at harding you could read notes while doing it...typing might be a bit hard, plus you're supposed to use your arms for at least some of the workout.

I actually develop back pain if I use the arms on elliptical machines. Doesn't seem to match my natural rhythm somehow. Also, you're right about the hills. Completely deterred me from running while there, except on the beach.
