Great Granola

Here is the granola recipe I've been making for breakfast. It's yummy. It originally called for raisins, but i prefer cranberries. :-) The message at the bottom is from the program I use for my recipes on my computer.

Great Granola

Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup oil
  2. 3/4 cup honey
  3. 1/4 cup maple syrup
  4. 3 cups rolled oats
  5. 1/2 cup shredded coconut, optional
  6. 2 tbsp wheat germ, optional
  7. 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  8. 3/4 cup chopped, unsalted nuts (pecans, filberts, walnuts, or almonds)
  9. 1 tsp cinnamon
  10. 1 tsp vanilla
  11. 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F
  2. Combine oil, honey, and maple syrup in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients, except cranberries, and mix well. Spread mixture on a large rimmed baking sheet. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until toasted, stirring occasionally.
  3. Sir in cranberries. Let cool, stirring with a fork occasionally to break up mixture. Store in airtight container in a cool, dry place.

um...no coriander. and no cupcakes and just sesame seeds...not sesame oil seeds. not sure where that came. it likes to do autofill when i enter things. i'll correct the post.

Good. Cause otherwise, that would be a weird granola :). Have you tried adding flax seed? Or dried blueberries? How much does the recipe make? I wonder what the nutrition information is like...

i'm not big on blueberries, but i could see that working. and i'll look into the flax seed. the recipe makes about 6 cups. the nutrition info could vary based on the optional stuff.
